Senior Design Engineer WTB
Within the role of Senior Design Engineer, you will deal with innovations and developments within our machine lines. For instance, hydraulically-controlled movements will go electric as much as possible and research has started into replacing existing welding processes to laser welding. It is nice if you have experience with these disciplines. If not, you will be trained in them. There is a lot of knowledge and experience within the Engineering team and the lines of communication are short. You design tailor-made machines and production lines, often customer-specific, and in the projects sold, you process as much as possible according to previously developed and established standards.
Specifically:
- You design and develop machines for the aforementioned product groups.
- Work with various stakeholders on varied projects.
- Make strength calculations where necessary.
- You continuously design and test new tools and techniques and retrain where necessary.
- You work out your own design in workshop drawings and check your colleagues’ designs and drawings.
- You will work and calculate with Inventor or (if required) Adams MSC software.
- Do you provide support in testing, construction and implementation of machines.

Your profile:
- Mechanical engineering education at college level, or equivalent.
- At least 10 years’ work experience in similar environment and role.
- Skills to switch between R&D work and working in and for projects.
- A goal-oriented and flexible working attitude with an eye for cooperation internally and externally and for quality and customer requirements.
- Good communication skills in word and writing, preferably in Dutch and English. Dutch is not necessarily a must.
- Relevant knowledge of 3D drawing packages. Inventor and Adams MSC is an advantage.
