As a control system service engineer you switch from development to implementing systems all over the world

Fontijne Holland at Vlaardingen is looking for a talented Control System Service engineer to support the service department in relation to controls questions of our customers and to manage retrofit projects of specific, by Fontijne Holland developed, weld controls.

The various applications on a high level of industrial automation makes this position an interesting challenge for an ambitious, hands-on, performance driven professional.

Tasks and Responsibilities

As a Control System Service engineer you will manage retrofit (weld) control activities, prepares quotations, estimates and order confirmations, supports technically the sales department, executes training to our customers and advises our customers in general.

  • Manage all related retrofit project activities, at Fontijne Holland and at customers site.
  • Create control system specifications (functional and electrical).
  • Supports new control developments.
  • Monitors project related subcontractor activities.
  • Supports the sales department on request.
  • Supports the testing and service department during the commissioning and operational lifecycle in relation to weld controls.
  • Visits customers to inspect local situations.
  • Prepares inspection reports and is involved with all other related administration activities of above mentioned.

What we are looking for in our new control system service engineer

  • Bachelor level in electronics and/or software control technology.
  • Knowledge of hardware control is highly appreciated.
  • At least 5 years of experience in the application of controls operating systems and electrical installations for machines.
  • Knowledge of modern PLC and HMI (Siemens, Bachman, Beckhoff, Allen Bradley) technology and programming languages.
  • Good commercial -, communication – and consulting skills.
  • Strong analytical, creative, innovative and problem-solving skills.
  • Good knowledge of the Dutch and English language, verbally and in writing.
  • Customer focus, quality consciousness.
  • Team player and hands-on mentality.
  • Willingness to travel up to 20%.

You are triggered by the challenging position in a highly technically driven environment with enthusiastic colleagues within a skilled team. Off course we offer an appealing compensation:

  • An above average salary that suits the market and your experience, with an indication between € 4500 – 5000 gross per month depending on your experience and background.
  • 25 vacation days + 13 ADV days (CAO Metaal en Techniek).
  • 8% holiday allowance.
  • We start with a one-year contract with the intention of a permanent contract thereafter. So, a direct commitment, no agencies involved.
